Job Description/Responsibilities

Transmission Engineer responsiblities are not limited to the following:

  • Perform first line transmission support on short/long haul SDH/PDH Backbone; ensuring the network availability meets the pre-set targets.
  • Perform first line transmission support on all optic fiber and cable networks.
  • Provide first and second level transmission support to Network maintenance teams.
  • Operation and Maintenance of satellite Earth stations and other transmission related equipment.
  • Responsible for carrying out routine preventive maintenance activities on all SDH Radios, Satellites, fiber optics, multiplexers.
  • Carryout both software and capacity upgrade of transmission resources.
  • Provide transmission connectivity for the integration of new sites, 3G, MSCs, and BSCs etc.
  • Implementations of transmission related job orders promptly.


RF/Radio Network Planning & Optimization Engineer job description/responsibities are not limited to the following:

  • To support Radio network planning & Optimization projects of GSM / CDMA2000+EVDO / UMTS+HSPA / WiMAX / 3G.
  • To provide Radio Coverage & Capacity Dimensioning, RF Planning and Optimization, E2E optimization (KPIs), performance monitoring, Site engineering, Network audit, etc.
  • To support performance KPI before or during project implementation.
  • To take part in the Preliminary or final radio performance acceptance procedure for all projects.
  • To write guidelines for radio network planning & optimization projects.
  • Assist RF team setup, plan resources and tasks allocation.
